Whatever the case may be, we will make it a day you will never forget. Our well trained and experienced captain and crew are there to fulfil your wishes and treat you to the hospitality that Greece is famous for.

Come onboard and see how elegance meets comfort. The glass bottom of the salon is a stunning feature. It gives you an “inside” view of the magic and history that exist beneath the surface of the sea. The bar serves the best drinks & cocktails and we get your taste buds tingling with the meat or fish barbecue prepared for you on board. And for those who want a particular meal there is always the catering option.

The heat is not an issue when you are on the Glassbottom Discovery; the interior is air-conditioned throughout. And for those who want some sun, the spacious open upper deck is the right place to be: lie down or sit and enjoy the picturesque view of the sea and shore, and when the time is right get up and dance. The yacht has an audio system so you can enjoy music throughout the trip. Choose the music that you like from our playlist, bring your own music or even enjoy the services of a professional DJ! The yacht is equipped with hi-tech sound and audiovisual equipment to give you the best possible audiovisual experience. For the more active, water sports (i.e. jet-ski, water-board, water-ski, barefoot, parasailing, tubes, flying fish and bananas) are also our speciality. You ask for it and we’ll make it happen.

Although this activity highlights the traditional factor of the Mykonian lifestyle, on the other hand a “traditional” description of its “program” hardly does it justice. This may sound vague, but during these 6 hours (approximately) you will experience the traditional Greek way of life, the culture, the Greek art of cooking. It is not what you will do, it is mostly how you will do it. During this time you will learn tips and cooking methods that have made Mykonos and Greece, loved by its friends and visitors, but most importantly you will instil the hospitality and the everyday lifestyle of a traditional Mykonian family.

To become a bit more specific, after you are collected from your hotel (or the port or the location you prefer) and transferred to the special venue, Teta will wholeheartedly invite you into her beautiful Mykonian home and create a charming and intimate evening that will turn this visit to the “Island of the Winds” into a highlight of your trip. She will teach you about Mykonian culture and history, share stories about her family’s life and make you feel just as if you are visiting close relatives or friends. She will share stories about Mykonian true lifestyle and chat with you while you will taste and enjoy some Mykonian meze snacks like dakos with kopanisti cheese and tomato, louza (sun dried pork fillets), wine and Cretan raki. You will wander through her vegetable garden, learn about local organic farming and enjoy a wonderful time.

And then onto the kitchen where we you will make tsatziki and spinach pie, stuffed peppers and tomatoes, beef with orzo and more from a   traditional menu. All guests, will be supplied with protective equipment (aprons) . Most cooking ingredients will be readily available in special bowls in the kitchen area ready for the menu preparation. Teta will guide you through the whole procedure, giving the opportunity to everyone to master their cooking skills. There is a small intermission between the preparation and the tasting stage, which can be used for a short period of relaxation and to enjoy the company of those around you. But after that, lunch or dinner starts, where you can consume as much as your belly holds. Moreover, guests upon request also have the option of visiting the family’s farm and vineyard and experiencing the traditional animal and organic farming or they can take a quick swim at a beautiful nearby beach.

There are many other details to the “class” that we could share with you but the essence is that as you can see, this is much more than learning to cook a fabulous Greek meal. It is also about family, conversation, food and culture and becoming a member of a family that perhaps you didn’t even know you had. It is quality time in the home of someone close to you, finding yourself in their kitchen helping to cook, enjoying the experience of meeting new people and honouring us by becoming a part of our family.

Mykonos is a popular and a world known famous destination, due to its cosmopolitan lifestyle and the variety of visitors from all around the world that it attracts. However, there is much more that this beautiful island has to offer, apart from its nightlife and the popular reflective images of the rich and the famous. Mykonos’ traditional way of life is dearly reflected within its city limits, inside which we offer an authentic walking tour throughout some often unappreciated sites by many of its visitors. We offer you an opportunity of a lifetime to experience first-hand the true beauty of the Mykonian town, by walking you through its history and re-living some of its past memories.

Your walk down the Mykonian history “alley”, through which our guide will accompany you and share his knowledge and stories begins at 10:00 or 16:00 (depending on the time you have booked for), after you have been collected from your pick-up location (usually your hotel or the cruise-ship port), at the well-known location of the Archaeological museum and the Remezzo club (where the entrance of the old town is), close to the old port, which is the starting point of the walking tour.

Walking down the coastal paved road, you will pass Manto Square, where the famous monument of Manto Mavrogenous stands, a Greek heroine of the Greek War of Independence. Right after you will head down the famous Matogianni area, where you will find clothing and footwear shops of famous fashion brands and you will see attractions such as the 3 wells, the home of Manto Mavrogenous’ mother and the Maritime Museum. From there you will continue your walk, by passing the traditional “Gioras bakery”, an underground and old wooden stove, still operational until today where you will be treated a traditional bakery’s product and a refreshment, before you head towards five in a row windmills, which still stand proudly as a local attraction, after their operation was paused. Crossing the narrow winding paths, through the castle of the Chora and the Scarpa area where ‘Little Venice’ is located, which is famous for its picturesque medieval two and three storey houses (you will have 15 minutes free time here), you visit the elaborate church of “Panagia Paraportiani”, one of the most famous architectural structures in Greece and get to see the Folklore Museum.

Finally, we head back to our starting point and pass by the famous Agios Nikolaos church at the old port. At the end you will be driven back to where you were picked-up, with the firm belief that we managed to pass on some of our proud history and memories of our past and present.
